About Kuş Cenneti
Nallıhan Bird Sanctuary is a nature tourism area located in the Nallıhan district of Bolu. It is an artificial wetland ecosystem formed in 1959 with the commissioning of the Sarıyar Dam. In 1994, a 425-hectare area was declared a Wildlife Development Area and hunting was prohibited. The region hosts approximately 200 bird species and is one of Turkey's most important breeding grounds for the endangered Black Stork.
