Mavi Göl Recreation Area, located in Ankara's Mamak district, is approximately 12 kilometers from the city center and opened in 2005 around an artificial lake formed by the Bayındır Dam. Spanning a total area of 2,120 decares, this park offers various activities such as picnic areas, children's playgrounds, sports fields, walking trails, and pedal boats. Additionally, there are designated barbecue units and picnic tables where grilling and samovars are permitted. Mavi Göl is operated by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, and there is an entrance fee for vehicles.
