Kesik Minare
120 m · Kesik Minare, located in Kaleiçi in Antalya's Muratpaşa district, was originally built as a Roman temple in the 2nd century AD. It was converted into a Byzantine church dedicated to the Virgin Mary in the 7th century, and then into a mosque with the addition of a minaret in the early 13th century. The main building was destroyed in a fire in 1896, but the minaret survived. Restoration work began in 2019, completing the missing parts of the minaret, and it reopened for worship in 2021. It is within walking distance of Hadrian's Gate (374 m), Hıdırlık Tower (237 m), and the Atatürk Museum (305 m). The nearest public transport is the Belediye tram stop (314 m).
