Telkari Müzesi
14.4 km · The Telkari Museum, located in the Midyat district of Mardin, was opened by the Midyat Municipality on December 10, 2023. The museum is situated in the Syriac Bazaar, in a historical mansion built by the family of Syriac Gelle Hirmız in the 1850s. Known as the world's first filigree museum, it exhibits filigree artifacts from the Byzantine, Roman, Ottoman, and Republican periods. Visitors can observe the filigree making process and purchase works of art at the museum.
