112 m · Aphrodisias Tetrastoon is a historic site located in the Karacasu district of Denizli. This marble-paved and colonnaded square in front of the Theatre was built in the 1st or 2nd century AD. Its current form is due to a restoration in the AD 360s by a provincial governor named Antonius Tatianus. The west side of the square became a place of honor for statues of emperors and governors, with two statues, one for Theodosius I or II and one for Flavius Palmatus, surviving to this day. Aphrodisias is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Within walking distance of Aphrodisias Tetrastoon are Aphrodisias (236 m), Sebasteion (192 m), and the Theatre (68 m).
