Herakleia Salbace

Although the exact founding date of the city is unknown, it is believed to have been established during the Hellenistic period. The city, which also saw settlements during the Roman and Byzantine periods, features structures such as a stadium and city walls. Herakleia Salbace was also known for its advanced medical science and hosted a medical school that trained important physicians of the ancient world.
