Süleyman Demirel
The Süleyman Demirel Democracy and Development Museum, located in İslamköy, Isparta, is an archive museum documenting the life of Turkey's 9th President, Süleyman Demirel, and Turkey's development over the last 50 years. The museum is situated within a 16,000-square-meter complex, construction of which began in 1990, and includes a mosque, library, lodgings, and storage buildings. The main museum building opened on October 26, 2014, and is operated by the Demirel Foundation. The museum houses 46,000 books, 126,000 photographs, 8,000 gift items, 4,000 paintings, and thousands of document folders. Admission to the complex is free, and the museum is closed on Mondays.
