The Bukoleon Palace Ruins, located in the Fatih district on the Marmara Sea coast, are the remains of a Byzantine seaside palace. It is believed to have been built by Emperor Theodosius II in the 5th century, with some sections added during the reign of Emperor Theophilos (829-842). The palace is notable for its 300-meter-long facade and monumental staircase leading to the sea. The ruins are within walking distance of Hagia Sophia (768 m), Sultanahmet Mosque (332 m), and Sultanahmet Square (421 m). The nearest public transport stop is Ahırkapı İskelesi ferry stop (542 m).
