1.3 km · Balaban Tekkesi Mescidi, also known as İsfendiyar Tekkesi Mescidi or Yağcızade Tekkesi, is a historical mosque from the Ottoman Period, located in the Mimar Sinan Neighborhood of Üsküdar district in Istanbul. It was built by Balaban Ahmet Baba, famous by the name İsfendiyar. Construction of the mosque began in 1634, and after a 1-year construction period, it was opened for worship in 1635. Architecturally, the mosque reflects Ottoman influences.
