About Myrina Antik Kenti
Myrina Ancient City is a port city built on two hills where the Güzelhisar Stream meets the sea in Aliağa, Manisa. Believed to have been founded by the Amazons, Myrina was one of the 12 important cities of Aeolis. The city is particularly known for its necropolis and terracotta figurines. Myrina experienced major earthquakes in 17 AD and 106 AD, and was rebuilt with the help of Roman Emperor Tiberius.
