Saimbeyli Kalesi
36.8 km · Saimbeyli Castle, located in the Saimbeyli district of Kahramanmaraş, is a historic site that was used by the Hittites, Romans, Byzantines, Crusaders, and Ottomans. The rectangular-planned castle features eight bastions, a watchtower, and a water cistern. It held strategic importance due to its location on a significant caravan route connecting Cilicia to Kayseri and Cappadocia. Although it is in a ruined state today, Saimbeyli Castle is situated on a rocky hill to the east of the district.
