14.2 km · The Safranbolu Clock Tower, located in the Safranbolu district of Karabük, was built in 1797 by Grand Vizier İzzet Mehmet Pasha. It is considered the first known clock tower in Anatolia, and its original clock, brought from London, is still operational today. Constructed with a square plan from cut stone, the tower is 12 meters high and has been continuously working for over 200 years, wound once a week. The Clock Tower is open to visitors every day except Mondays, from 09:00 to 17:30, along with the City History Museum. It is within walking distance of Cinci Hanı.
