Dokuzhöyük Tekmeşe Tumulus is a monumental burial mound located in the Dokuzhöyük Village, Kırklareli Merkez district, 1.3 km northwest of the village in a pasture area across the stream. Tumuli are monumental burial mounds formed as artificial hills, and they are most commonly found in the Thracian region of Turkey. This tumulus is 3-4 meters high and 20-25 meters in diameter. It is currently threatened by illegal excavation activities and is proposed to be registered as a 1st Degree Archaeological Site.
