2.0 km · Karahıdır Monument, Karahızır Monument, or Four-Legged Monument, is an Ottoman-era monument located within the borders of Kırklareli province, Central district. The monument was built in 1914 during the period of Kırklareli Mutasarrıf İbrahim Süreyya Yiğit, in memory of Kocahıdır, who is rumored to have unhorsed King Władysław III of Hungary during the Battle of Varna, then beheaded him and placed his head on the tip of his spear.
