Sevdiğin Höyüğü
15.8 km · Sevdiğin Höyüğü is a historic mound located in Sevdiğin village, part of the Central district of Kırşehir province. Situated 15 km west of Kırşehir, the mound measures 146 by 126 meters and is approximately 25 meters high. Ceramic fragments found on the surface suggest occupation during the first half of the 2nd millennium BC, as well as the Hittite and Phrygian periods. The village has retained its name since 1926, and its mention in a 1272 endowment document indicates settlement as early as 1250.
