One is a two-story wooden and stone mansion, built in 1914 by Hacı Hulusi Efendi, where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk stayed overnight during his visit to Silifke on January 27, 1925. This mansion opened as the Atatürk House and Ethnography Museum in 1987. There is also a monument dedicated to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in Silifke's Cumhuriyet Square. Additionally, Silifke is home to Gazi Farm, where Atatürk's vision for cooperatives was implemented, and which houses the administrative building of Turkey's first Agricultural Credit Cooperative. Gazi Mustafa Kemal Primary School, established in 1913, also continues to operate. The Temple of Jupiter (631 m) and the Ancient City of Jupiter Temple (598 m) are within walking distance.
