Ünye Castle, located in the Ünye district of Ordu, is a historical structure with an estimated 2500-year history. Situated on a hill 7 km along the Ünye-Niksar highway, it is also known as Çaleoğlu Castle. The castle was built around 250 BC by Pontus King Mithridates II and was used during the Pontic, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman periods. A notable feature of the castle is a tetrasyl rock tomb located ten meters above the ground, adorned with eagle reliefs on its triangular pediment. The castle also contains two tunnels and a cistern.
The Yunus Emre Tomb, located in the Gölevi neighborhood of Ünye district in Ordu, is a tomb attributed to the mystic poet Yunus Emre. The tomb is housed within a modern structure and is surrounded by areas such as the Sufism Path and the Yunus Emre Well. Construction of the tomb began in 1985, and in 2017, it was restored by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, transforming it into a complex that includes a mosque, ablution fountain, tomb, and cemetery.
