Kurul Kalesi
8.9 km · Kurul Castle is an ancient settlement built on a sharp rock within the borders of Bayadı Village in Ordu's Altınordu district. Dating back to the 2nd and 1st centuries BC, this site is the first archaeological excavation area in the Black Sea Region. Significant findings from the excavations include a 250-300 step staircase system, temple and castle walls, and a Cybele statue discovered in 2016. In addition to a historical tunnel and water cistern, there are also walking paths, seating areas, and observation terraces.
