Şahinkaya Canyon, located in the Vezirköprü district of Samsun, forms the deepest point of the Altınkaya Dam and is Turkey's second-largest canyon. It is approximately 1500 meters long and 324 meters high. It was declared a national tourism region in 2012 and became a nature park in 2015. The canyon hosts the extreme sports festival Falcon Fest.
