Bazda Mağarası
20.9 km · Bazda Cave, located in Harran district of Şanlıurfa, is a historic site that was used as a stone quarry during the Roman period, approximately 2000 years ago. The caves consist of tunnels, galleries, and large open areas formed by centuries of stone extraction for the construction of nearby structures such as Harran, Şuayp Ancient City, and Han el-Ba'rur. Some sections of the caves are two-storied, and Arabic inscriptions from individuals who worked there in the 13th century can be found on the walls. It was registered as a 1st Degree Archaeological Site in 2010.
