Kral Kaya Mezarları
The King Rock Tombs, located on the southern slopes of Harşena Mountain in Amasya, were carved into limestone rocks for the Pontus kings during the Hellenistic period. There are tombs belonging to five kings, from Mithridates Ktistes I, the founding king of the Pontus Kingdom which used Amasya as its capital from 302 BC to 26 BC, to Pharnakes I. Although there are known to be 21 tombs of varying sizes along the Yeşilırmak Valley, only a few have survived to the present day. The King Rock Tombs were included in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List in 2015. It is 92 meters from Amasyaşehir train stop.
