Cem Sultan Türbesi
The Tomb of Cem Sultan is one of many tombs inside the Muradiye Mosque, including that of Sultan Murad II. Among these tombs, most of which are of superior artistic value, the structure known as the Tomb of Cem Sultan is one of the most elegant in terms of its interior decoration. The tomb, which has no inscription, was built for Şehzade Mustafa, the eldest son of Fatih Sultan Mehmed, as understood from the writings "Sultan Mustafa" and "rahmetullah" found in the embroideries inside the dome. However, after Cem Sultan, who died in Italy in 1495 after an adventurous life in exile, his body was brought back to the country in 1499 and buried here, and the tomb became known by his name because he was more famous.
