Altınapa Han
Altunapa Han or Altınapa Han is a caravanserai located 17 km from the city center in Konya, Turkey, on the Konya-Beyşehir road. It is the first inn on the caravan route between Konya-Antalya and Alanya during the Anatolian Seljuk period. It was built in 598 (1202) by Sipehsâlâr Şemseddin Altınapa, one of the Seljuk statesmen who was also the founder of Argıt Han on the Akşehir-Konya road. When the Altınapa Dam was built, the structure remained under the dam waters. With the decrease in water level due to drought in the Altınapa Dam, the 816-year-old inn resurfaced. It was nominated for the UNESCO World Heritage List under the name Seljuk Caravanserais Denizli-Doğubayazıt Route, along with some other caravanserais across the country.
