Church of Saint Barbara

The Azize Barbara Chapel is a rock-cut church located in the Göreme Open-Air Museum in Nevşehir, dating to the second half of the 11th century. It features a cross plan with two free-standing columns. The interior is adorned with geometric patterns, mythological animal figures, and military symbols applied directly onto the rock surface using red ochre. The chapel is named after Saint Barbara, whose depiction can be found on the northern wall of the western arm of the cross.

Azize Catherine Şapeli

Aziz Katarina Chapel is a place of worship located in the Göreme Open Air Museum, in the Nevşehir Merkez district of Cappadocia. Dating back to the 11th century, the chapel is situated between the Dark Church and the Çarıklı Church. Both the narthex and naos of the chapel feature a free cross plan with a central dome. Inside, there are wall paintings depicting Saint Catherine and other saints.

Yılanlı Kilise, located in Nevşehir Merkez, is a place of worship situated within the Göreme Open-Air Museum in Cappadocia. Dating back to the 11th century, this rock-cut church is notable for its unique frescoes, despite being unfinished. The church gets its name from a fresco depicting Saint George slaying a dragon. It also features depictions of four sinful women being attacked by snakes.
