Sivas Kongresi ve Atatürk Anıtı
164 m · The Sivas Congress and Atatürk Monument is a historic site located in Sivas Merkez. The building was constructed in 1892 as a Mülki İdadi (civil high school) by Sivas Governor Mazlum Paşazade Mehmet Memduh Bey. It hosted the Sivas Congress between September 4-11, 1919, and served as the headquarters of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the Representative Committee for 108 days during the Turkish War of Independence. Today, this monumental building functions as a museum and is within walking distance of Buruciye Madrasa (150 m), Çifte Minareli Madrasa (189 m), and Şifaiye Madrasa (202 m).
