The Usturumcalı Halil Efe Memorial Tomb is located in the Selendi district of Uşak. Usturumcalı Halil Efe, a hero of the Turkish National Struggle, came to Anatolia during the Balkan Wars and participated in World War I. He served as the Commander of the 12th Detachment of the Demirci Akıncıları during the National Struggle. He was martyred on May 17, 1922, in the Selendi-Kınık Battle, two months after his wife, Gördesli Makbule, became a martyr. His tomb is situated on Yağcı Mountain in Selendi and is visited annually with commemoration ceremonies.
