It was opened to visitors in 2013 when the Yalova Government Mansion was converted into a museum within the scope of the Reconstruction Project jointly carried out by the Yalova Governorship and Yalova Municipality. The museum is located on the seafront, right next to Yalova Port, at the intersection of Rıhtım, Cumhuriyet, and Gazi Paşa streets.

It was restored in 1981 and started operating as a museum exhibiting Atatürk's belongings. Afterwards, the mansion, known as the General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises Atatürk Mansion Baltacı Farm Mansion, registered with the decision of the Kocaeli Cultural Heritage Preservation Board dated November 20, 2007, and numbered 193, began its restoration in February 2013 to start operating as a children's museum.
