20.5 km · Eskiyapar Höyük is a mound located in the Hüseyinabad Plain, south of the Çorum city center, 6 km west of Alaca District, under the old Eskiyapar Village. To prevent the destruction caused by the village due to reasons such as agriculture and construction, and to allow excavation work, the village was moved in 1983-84 and the mound was opened. The mound, with a diameter of up to 350 meters, is one of the large mounds in the region and is 13 meters high. Geographically, it is almost at the geometric center of important Hittite centers such as Alacahöyük, Boğazköy, and Şapinuva (Ortaköy).
