About Feke Castle
Feke Castle, located in the Feke district of Kahramanmaraş, was built by the Byzantines in the 12th century. It holds a strategic position, intended to secure the historic Silk Road and the routes connecting Cilicia to Central Anatolia. The castle is situated on a hill 1270 meters high, featuring a rectangular plan with eight bastions and a watchtower. It contains a large cistern and various structures, and has recently undergone restoration.
