Çay Han
12.2 km · Çay Han, located in the Çay district of Afyonkarahisar, is a historic caravanserai built in 1278 during the reign of Seljuk Sultan Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev III by Ebul-Mücahit Yusuf Han and designed by architect Oğul Bey, son of Mehmet. Also known as Taşhan, this structure is a unique example of Anatolian Seljuk architecture with its square plan combining both courtyard and enclosed caravanserai types. The han was constructed as part of a complex that included a madrasa, bath, and fountain, and today it serves as a tea garden. The leopard emblem above the han's door is the architect's symbol.
