About Afrodisias Müze
Afrodisias Museum is an archaeological museum located within the ancient city of Aphrodisias in the Karacasu district of Aydın. Opened to visitors in 1979, the museum exhibits sculptures, sarcophagi, and reliefs unearthed during excavations of the ancient city. The museum is particularly notable for the works of the Aphrodisias School of Sculpture, which was active from the 1st century BC to the 5th century AD. Aphrodisias (307 m), Sebasteion (118 m), and Tetrapylon (188 m) are within walking distance.
