About Bouleuterion
The Bouleuterion is a historic site located in the ancient city of Sagalassos, in the Ağlasun district of Isparta. It was built around 100 BC and served as a meeting place for the city council (boulé). This building provides evidence that Sagalassos had an elected and active city council at that time. Around 400 AD, the Bouleuterion was abandoned, and its stones were reused to construct new city walls. It is within walking distance of Sagalassos (140 m) and Macellum (113 m).
