Mardin Kapı
Mardin Gate, also known as Tel Gate, is one of the four gates of the Diyarbakır city walls. It is located in the south of the city. According to the inscription on the gate, it was repaired in 909-910 with the help of Caliph Muqtadir Billah and his vizier Ali bin Muhammad, by the skill of the engineer Ahmed from Amid. It was named Mardin Gate because it is located on the Mardin road side. In popular culture, it inspired the folk song "Mardin Kapı Şen Olur".
