Gaziantep Kalesi

Gaziantep Castle is a castle on top of a mound in the centre of Gaziantep, Turkey. First used as an observation point during the Hittite Empire, it was expanded into a castle during Roman rule. The castle was severely damaged by earthquakes in February 2023.

Museums

Hamam Müzesi

It has the status of a certified private museum supervised by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The Hamam Museum was opened to visitors in 2015 with the restoration of the Pasha Hamam, which was built by Lala Mustafa Pasha in 1577, by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality. Gaziantep baths, unlike classical bath architecture, are located below ground level.

Tobacco Inn

Tütün Hanı, located in the Şahinbey district of Gaziantep, is a historical shopping area estimated to have been built in the mid-18th century by Hüseyin Ağa, son of Nur Ali Ağa. It belongs to the group of two-story, single-courtyard hans in Ottoman inn architecture. The han was restored in 2006 and currently serves as a shopping center and a local home-style food restaurant-cafe. It is within walking distance of Gaziantep Castle (538 m), Hamam Museum (511 m), and Bakırcılar Çarşısı (94 m).
