The museum was restored by the Şahinbey Municipality and opened in 2018 to narrate the epic struggle of the people of Antep against the British and French occupation during the Turkish War of Independence. The museum features 12 historical rooms and a 1100-square-meter cave area. Visitors can see weapons, war materials, and daily life items from that period, and experience the Defense of Antep through animated displays supported by sound effects and projection shows.
