Dolmabahçe Sarayı Harem Bölümü

#1 of 1652 places in Istanbul

The Dolmabahçe Palace Harem Section is part of the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul's Beşiktaş district, constructed between 1843 and 1856. It served as the private living quarters for the Ottoman Sultan, his mother, wives, children, and concubines. The Harem features a blend of Baroque, Rococo, and Ottoman architectural styles, adorned with gold, crystal, and glass decorations. The room where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk spent his final days and passed away is also located within this section. It is 346 meters from the Beşiktaş ferry stop.
