The Turgut Özal Memorial Tomb is the monumental resting place of Turkey's 8th President, Turgut Özal, located in the Zeytinburnu district of Istanbul. Opened to visitors in 1998, the memorial was designed by architect Yılmaz Sanlı. Its 32-meter-high, eight-legged structure reflects a contemporary interpretation of traditional Turkish architectural motifs, symbolizing the diversity of Turkish society and an ascent to the heavens. The memorial tomb is within walking distance of the Adnan Menderes Memorial Tomb (209 m) and 362 meters from the Vatan tram stop.
