Also known as Cannon Gate (Topkapı), it gained its modern name from the Ottoman cannons placed opposite it during the final siege in 1453. It is also known as Fatma Sultan Fountain because it is near Fatma Sultan Mosque and the old name of its neighborhood was Fatma Sultan. According to the inscription on it, it was built by a philanthropist named Hasan Ağa.

990 m · Adnan Menderes Memorial Tomb, a memorial tomb located within Topkapı Cemetery, which houses the mausoleum of Adnan Menderes, one of Turkey's former prime ministers, on Vatan Street in Istanbul's Topkapı district. After the Yassıada Trials, which began after the May 27 Coup, Prime Minister Adnan Menderes, Minister of Finance Hasan Polatkan, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fatin Rüştü Zorlu were executed by hanging in İmralı Prison. With a law enacted in 1990, Adnan Menderes and his friends had their reputations restored, and their remains, which were on İmralı Island, were transferred to their current memorial tomb on September 17, 1990, with a state ceremony attended by then-President Turgut Özal.
