One year after its construction, in 1909, the mansion completely burned down and was rebuilt in 1910, the year immediately after the fire.

1.1 km · Mevlana Heykeli, a historic monument located on Tıngırtepe in Buca, İzmir, was opened on June 20, 2003. Sculpted by Eray Okkan, this statue stands 23 meters tall, reaching a height of 75 meters from the ground. It was formed with fiberglass over a steel frame and covered with 25 tons of copper. The base of the statue houses a room where whirling dervish performances and ney lessons are held.
