Acropolis of Erythrae [Erythrai]
313 m · The Acropolis of Erythrae, located in Ildırı village in Çeşme, İzmir, is a historic site containing the remains of the ancient city of Erythrai. The acropolis features structures such as the podium walls of the 6th-century BC Temple of Athena Polias and the 19th-century Saint Matrona Church. Additionally, there is a partially restored amphitheater dating back to the early 3rd century BC. It is within walking distance of the Ancient theater of Erythrae (90 m) and Erythrai (121 m).
