Tarihi Su Kemerleri
The Historic Aqueducts (Tarihi Su Kemerleri) in Konak, İzmir, were constructed during the Roman Empire, between 133 BC and 395 AD. These aqueducts were built to supply water to the early settlements around Kadifekale. They were made with cut stone, brick, and a special Roman mortar that included egg whites for added durability. The aqueducts continued to be used and repaired during the Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman periods. They are within walking distance of Atatürk Mask (409 m), Kadifekale (629 m), and Cistern (577 m).
