Hodegeria Kapısı
Hodegeria Gate, located in the Fatih district, is a historical structure in Istanbul. This gate, dating back to the Byzantine period, is known as one of the first points where Ottoman soldiers entered the city during the Conquest of Istanbul in 1453. According to legend, the gate was accidentally left open, allowing the Ottomans to enter the city easily. The nearest public transport stop to Hodegeria Gate is Cankurtaran train station, 445 meters away. Hagia Sophia (530 m), Topkapi Palace (424 m), and Basilica Cistern (683 m) are within walking distance.
