Gümüşler Manastırı
Gümüşler Monastery, located in Niğde Merkez, is a Byzantine-era rock monastery carved into a large tuff rock mass. It is considered one of the largest monasteries in the Cappadocia region and one of the best-preserved examples of 10th-century Byzantine art in Anatolia. The monastery consists of a church with four columns, underground spaces, and burial chambers. Well-preserved frescoes adorn the church walls, depicting scenes such as the Annunciation to Mary, the Birth of Jesus, and the Presentation in the Temple. The monastery is situated in the town of Gümüşler, approximately 8-10 km from Niğde city center.
