About North agora
The North Agora is the oldest agora of the ancient city of Miletus, located in Didim, and was established in the 6th century BCE. Initially an open square, the North Agora underwent a complex architectural evolution over time. The sanctuary of Apollo Delphinius, the religious and political nucleus of Miletus, was situated in the northeastern corner of the North Agora. Milet (221 m), İlyas Bey Camii (406 m), and Nymphaeum (169 m) are within walking distance.
