Namazgah Tabyası
1.2 km · Namazgah Tabyası is a historic site located on the European shore of the Dardanelles Strait, south of Kilitbahir village in Eceabat, Çanakkale. Its construction began in 1770, based on the suggestion of Baron De Tott, and it stands as the first and largest bastion at the narrowest point of the strait. Expanded during the reign of Sultan Abdulaziz and modernized in 1892, the bastion served as the headquarters for the 4th Heavy Artillery Regiment during the Gallipoli Campaign. Today, it functions as a museum, displaying war artifacts and historical information. It is 631 meters from Kilitbahir ferry stop.
