SALT Galata
SALT Galata is a museum located in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. The building, designed by French-Levantine architect Alexandre Vallaury, served as the headquarters of the Imperial Ottoman Bank from 1892 to 1999. Reopened as SALT Galata in 2011, it now houses the Salt Research Library, exhibition spaces, and the Ottoman Bank Museum. It is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 19:00 and on Sundays from 11:00 to 18:00. It is within walking distance of Galata Tower (210 m) and the Karaköy funicular stop (122 m).
