About Tiyatro
The Miletus Theatre in Didim was constructed in the Hellenistic period in the 4th century BC and later expanded to a capacity of 15,000 people during the Roman period by Emperor Marcus Aurelius. This structure, bearing traces of ancient Greek and Roman civilizations, is over 2000 years old and is considered a fine example of ancient theatre architecture. Today, the theatre is still used for open-air concerts and plays. Milet (418 m), İlyas Bey Camii (536 m), and Nymphaeum (485 m) are within walking distance.
