About Kızıl Avlu
Kızıl Avlu, also known as the Red Basilica, is a monumental Roman temple located in Bergama, Turkey, likely built during the reign of Hadrian in the 2nd century AD. It is considered one of the largest Roman structures still standing in the ancient Greek world and is believed to have been dedicated to Egyptian gods, particularly Isis and Serapis. The structure gets its name from the red bricks used in its construction. It is 578 meters from the Akropolis Teleferik - Aşağı İstasyon cablecar stop.
