About Küplü Hamam

Küplü Hamam, located in Bergama, was built in 1427 and is known to have been endowed by Hibetullah, son of Hatip Mahmut Pasha. The hammam takes its name from an ancient marble urn that stood over its changing pool until the 19th century. This urn is now exhibited in the Louvre Museum in Paris. It features cold, lukewarm, and hot sections, in line with classical Ottoman hammam architecture. The hammam is within walking distance of İzmir Bergama Museum (500 m), Pergamon Amphitheater (712 m), and Kurşunlu Mosque (246 m).
