About Statue of Virgin Mary
Meryem Ana Heykeli (Statue of Virgin Mary) is a 5-meter-tall statue located on the road to the House of the Virgin Mary in Selçuk, Aydın. Sculptor Ekin Erman created it in 1995 in collaboration with the American Ephesus Society and Selçuk Municipality. The statue has been restored due to darkening and the need for maintenance. Nearby attractions include the Temple of Domitian (659 m), Prytaneion (705 m), and Odeon (Concert Hall) (691 m).
